We meet each student where they are academically. We identify levels of understanding, skills, and abilities, along with learning personal interests to develop a unique approach for each individual.

CHILD-CENTERED

Lessons are tailored to the child’s individual academic needs, learning styles and preferences. Choices are provided throughout our lessons to increase interest and engagement. Customized lessons can be requested as well (ex: Black History, Learning about Investing, Poetry, Animals, Specific Careers). Please just ask and we will prepare a special quote for you.

CONSISTENT

When a child is struggling, explicit, systematic and consistent instruction is critical. Private online one-on-one sessions allow the tutor to focus on the academic needs of the individual on a regular basis. We typically schedule sessions on the same day and time each week. Thus the student benefits from routine practice from the comfort of home, and can engage in a "safe" learning space. We pride ourselves on learning your child's strengths and areas of challenge so we can deliver lessons at the right pace and level of rigor.

CONVENIENT

Rest easy knowing we can continue working year-round with your student, including during local family trips or while abroad, while the kids are at caregivers' homes (grandparents, extended family) or during school breaks. Pair internet service and a mobile device (laptop, netbook, tablet, phone, etc) and the learning can commence.
